Pippa Colman Family Law is proud to announce the appointment of Jessica Popple as a Director, effective 1 July 2026.
Jessica's appointment marks an exciting milestone for the firm following the opening of its Townsville office earlier this year. As Pippa Colman Family Law celebrates 25 years of supporting Queensland families in 2026, Jessica joins Founder and Director Pippa Colman alongside Directors Sarah Quilliam and Samantha Bolton as the firm's fourth Director, further strengthening the leadership team as it continues to support families across the Sunshine Coast and North Queensland.
Since joining Pippa Colman Family Law in 2020, Jessica has become an integral member of the firm. Her compassionate approach, strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients have earned her the respect of colleagues, clients and the wider legal profession.
Practicing exclusively in family law, Jessica has extensive experience across parenting matters, property settlements, divorce, domestic and family violence, financial agreements, mediation and child protection matters. She is committed to providing practical, personalised legal advice that helps clients navigate some of life's most challenging circumstances.
Jessica's contribution to the profession has also been recognised through a number of significant achievements. In 2022, she was awarded the Queensland Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year and was recognised in Doyle's Guide as a Family Law Rising Star from 2021 to 2025 and in 2026 was listed as a Recommended Family Lawyer - Sunshine Coast. Last year Jessica was awarded the University of the Sunshine Coast Alumnus of the Year - Rising Star.
Founder and Director Pippa Colman said Jessica's appointment reflects the firm's commitment to recognising outstanding people and investing in future leadership.
"Watching Jessica grow as both a lawyer and a leader has been incredibly rewarding. She is an exceptional advocate for her clients, an outstanding mentor to our team and someone who leads with integrity every day.
As our firm continues to grow, I couldn't think of anyone more deserving of joining our leadership team. Jessica's appointment reflects the strength of our people and our commitment to continuing to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and community."
Jessica said she was honoured to join the firm's leadership team.
"It is an incredible privilege to become a Director of a firm that has played such an important role in my professional journey. Since joining Pippa Colman Family Law, I have had the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team that is genuinely committed to supporting clients with empathy, integrity and excellence.
I look forward to continuing to build on the firm's strong reputation, mentoring the next generation of family lawyers and helping guide the firm's continued growth, while remaining focused on achieving the very best outcomes for our clients."
Beyond her legal practice, Jessica is passionate about giving back to the community. She has served as President of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, been a board member of Suncoast Community Legal Service, Sunshine Coast Sports and Mingary Care (formerly Sunshine Hospice), and is Secretary of the Hinterland Blues AFL Club.
Jessica's appointment reflects Pippa Colman Family Law's continued investment in exceptional people, strong leadership and outstanding client outcomes. As the firm continues to grow, it remains committed to providing compassionate, strategic and client-focused family law advice to individuals and families across the Sunshine Coast and North Queensland.
