On 26 March 2001, Pippa Colman opened the doors of a small family law practice with a simple goal: to help people through what is often the hardest time of their lives, and to bring stability back to their children as quickly as possible. Twenty-five years later, we gathered with our team, referrers and colleagues to celebrate our silver anniversary, and what a night it was.
As Pippa reminded everyone on the evening, in family law we know better than most how special it is when a relationship reaches 25 years.
A firm built on relationships
When the firm began, there were no smartphones, emails were a rarity and “the cloud” was something you checked before hanging out the washing. Since then, thousands of clients have trusted us with some of the most important moments of their lives. That trust has allowed the firm to grow to nearly 30 directors and team members across two offices, creating careers and opportunities for generations of family law professionals.
None of that happens in isolation. Family law firms are built on relationships, and our success is truly the result of the commitment of our team, the loyalty of our clients, and the referrals and support of our professional community.
Thank you to our team
A firm is only ever as good as its people, and we are fortunate to have an exceptional team. Pippa paid special tribute to our long-serving Accounts Manager Stacey Burgess (around 16 years) and Practice Manager Dimity McGregor (over 13 years), whose loyalty and dedication have carried the firm through every chapter.
She also thanked directors Sarah Quilliam, Samantha Bolton and Jessica Popple, whose progressive ideas have transformed the firm into the practice it is today. And a special thank you to Marketing Manager Renita Gordon and Laura Greenhill for organising such a memorable evening.
Thank you to our referrers, peers and clients
To everyone who joined us on the night, and to all who have referred clients, collaborated with us and supported us over the years: thank you. We’re deeply grateful for your trust. We also extend heartfelt thanks to our families, who have been on this journey with us through the highs and lows, the late nights and the “just a few more minutes” phone calls.
Here’s to the next 25 years
Our commitment remains the same as it was in 2001: to serve our clients and our community by helping people rebuild their lives after separation. We look forward to continuing that work for many decades to come.
Cheers to the next 25 years!
